About FillwellScan
When someone scans a store at fillwell.io, our scanner reads a small set of public pages and saves the result for a day.
What it reads
- The homepage, robots.txt, the contact page, and the policy pages
- The public product feed,
/products.json, up to 250 products, and/collections.json. If the store has 6 collections or fewer, each collection's product feed too - Up to 12
/products/<handle>.jsfiles, for image alt text - Up to 8 product pages, and up to 3 translated product pages
How it behaves
- User agent:
FillwellScan/1.0 (+https://fillwell.io/bot) - At most 4 requests at a time, about 40 per scan. A finished scan is saved for 24 hours and reused
- It reads robots.txt right after the homepage and the product feed. If robots.txt blocks
/products/forFillwellScanor for all user agents, the scan stops there - It never logs in, never adds to cart, never runs JavaScript
